Icelandic Blanket - Húm #1070

Húm is the Icelandic word for dusk — the half-dark of a northern night. Pattern no. 1070 comes in dusk blue, grey and brown, designed by Védís Jónsdóttir for the Álafoss landscape series, in 100% Icelandic wool.

Icelandic wool is light and properly warm at the same time, so this is a throw you actually reach for on a cold night: over the sofa, at the foot of the bed, around your shoulders. Combed after weaving to soften it, and finished with a fringe.

130 × 200 cm including the fringe (about 52 × 79 in). Air it out between uses — it rarely needs washing. A favourite gift for weddings and housewarmings.
